Centre for peace and Justice (CPJ) condemns the closure of online news websites by SS national communication authority.

Press Release:

Juba-The Centre for Peace & Justice (CPJ) coordinator Tito Anthony has comdemned in strongest terms possible the blockage of the two online newspapers that are providing information to South Sudanese citizens.
I consider the blockage of the Sudan Tribune and Radio Tamazuj by South Sudan government is breaching the laws and human rights and specifically the rights of access to information.

Sudan Tribune and Radio Tamazuj were the two sources that are providing reliable information to South Sudanese nationwide and their blockage will put South Sudanese in eternal darkness and allow them to listen to propaganda because the two website are source to verify information.
I call upon South Sudan National

Communication Authority and Media regulation Authority to reopen the blockage of the two websites to allow citizens to access information and be inform about what is going in the country
