South Sudanese in Sudan commemorate 3rd anniversary of ‘December 2013 Juba massacre’

 

 

 

Khartuom ) — South Sudanese community in Sudan mark the bloody Monday of 15 December 2013 joining the rest of other countries around the world . The day was of the darkest day where hundreds of thousands of innocent  Nuer  civilian  were murdered in cool  blood  by Salva Kiir  using state power  in  what is seen as  an attempt build Dinka monolithic state and  prolong  is reign in power.

The commemoration was attended by high profile figure in SPLM-IO political Bureau among them  is SPLM-IO Secretary General Peter Tigo and SPLM-IO Youth Chairman Puot Kang Chol . among others  According to the speakers ,  they describe the  “December 2013 Juba massacre” of innocent civilians  as brutal and  carnage  that  will never  be forget in history of south Sudan , the participate when further by calling on Iggad plus, Trioka, U.N.and AU. To resuscitate the agreement in order to recues the civil population whom are starving in hands of government of south Sudan.

The commemoration is being conducted in South Sudan, Kenya, Canada, Egypt, Ethiopia, Australia, Sudan, Uganda, the United States of America, among others.

The main reason to commemorate the December 15, is to remember people who were killed in 2013 after fighting broke out in Juba between different units of presidential guards after months of political disagreement between senior leaders of the ruling SPLM party.

The United Nations human right watch have recently predict genocides  in south Sudan should  both party  to the conflict fail  to come to the table . Therefore the shattered young nation is on the brink of a disaster and warned of “all-out ethnic civil war.”
