Juba – The governor of the so called Biei state, Peter Bol Koang and his deputy Timothy Taban have been seeking refuge in UNMISS base after their home was stormed by government forces in Tongpiny, killing two bodyguards and injured several others.
Biei state is one among the controversially created 28 state by Salva kiir through establishment order which he issued last year, gerrymandering the country’s ten states into 28 more.
Practically, Biei state has no existence as the entire leadership is currently in Unmiss.
Some security elements were accused to have involved in attacking Nuer officers loyal to the govt, there is no clear information about why the govt forces are attacking their own Generals.
