Two children abducted in Bor today

Bor– authorities in Jonglei state said unknown raiders attacked  village of Baidit early today and abducted two boys and the mother at 2pm this afternoon.

According to area commissioner Isaac Mamer, accused Murle of carrying out the abduction,   he said the raiders are an armed  ethnic Murle  youth of Greater Pibor.

The local security organs are  pursuing the attackers.

Jonglei state has been hit by the activities of abduction since independence and both communities have been blaming the central government of not doing enough to bring the cycle of abduction to an end.

In separate development, the authorities in greater Pibor denied the accusations.
