United Nation chief in Juba to push both parties to implement peace

Juba– The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon touched down early today in South Sudan capital Juba, UN chief held a close door talks with Salva Kiir and other senior govt officials, his visit came as a result to persuade both Machar and Kiir to implement the agreement they signed in August last year to end the nearly two year and half destructive conflict in the country.

Ban Ki- Moon condemned the recent killing in Malakal’s protection of civilians site which left 18 people dead and  70 more injured, he describes the brutal killing of the civilians  by the armed elements as a war crime.

He urges full and independent investigation to be carried out and bring to book the perpetrators.

 

According to some senior members contacted by wangdunkon media,  said Ki Moon urges salva Kiir to respect the agreement he signed with former vice president Dr. Riek Machar and implement with all the provisions enshrined in the agreement

 

Mr. Ki-Moon is expected to meet IDPS representatives and also will hold talks with diplomatic missions and humanitarian agencies
