Kampala – The Chairman of SPLM/A-IO, Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon, has concluded a closed-door successful meeting with Ugandan president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni over peace and other politicals matters in South Sudan.
The meeting was held in Masindi, 200 kilometers away from Kampala city late Monday evening instead of morning as Museveni was reportedly engaged in scheduled campaign in the ongoing campaign for election in Uganda.
The agenda on the cover of the meeting is the supports from Museveni to peace in South Sudan, but what other political matters discussed by the two leaders remains unclear to the public, a change of colour from Museveni? people like members JCE inquires.
Machar was picked by Ugandan Presidential jet and flown into Kampala in the night of Sunday, sources indicates, and spent two night in Kampala and is expected to return to Pagak via Addis today.
In a related development, members from SPLM-IO’s advance team led by Mabior Grang De Mabior, the Chairperson of Information and Public Relation in the opposition camp, who were supposed to join Machar in Kampala early Monday morning from Juba were stopped by Boys from the Blue House (National Security Agent) from traveling to Kampala which let to their delays. The matter was sorted out and Mabior and the team were allowed to go late in the evening.
