Juba – The former governor of Lake state Engineer Chol Tong Mayay has declared rejoining SPLM in government in a press conference he held early today in Juba.
Chol was one of the SPLM leaders who are also referred to as former detainees (FDs) who have spent about two in Kenya after being released early 2014 from prison following the outbreak of the violent in Juba which the goverment called coup as cover up for the fighting the the subsequent massacre which followed
G10 or FDs had been working as a third bloc in the peace talks in Addis-Ababa which gave them 2% in power sharing ratio in the upcoming transitional government of national unity.
They returned to the country from Kenya to implement the Arusha Reunification Agreement and the compromise peace agreement signed last year.
Chol became the second man to leave the group following the former Ambassador Lol Gatkuoth who also left the group and joined the opposition in 2014 shortly after he was released.
