JMEC Chairperson to visit Malakal, Bentiu this week

Juba – The Chairperson of Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission, Festus Mogae, plans to visit Malakal, the capital of Upper Nile State on Wednesday 13 Jan, 2015 and will spent a night before proceeding to Bentiu, the capital of Unity State the following day.

“Tomorrow, I will be traveling to Malakal to see the situation for myself, and spend the night there. On the following day I will visit Bentiu before continuing to Addis” Festus said in his remarks during a meeting with parties to the ARCISS Tuesday.
IDPs in Malakal and Bentiu PoCs are happily yearning to see the person they describe as “Peace Master” and some describing him as “Peace Maker” as he will spent the night in UNMISS compound in Malakal
