Fuel shortage at Juba International Airport left many flights cancelled today

Juba – A fuel shortage has allegedly left many flights, both domestics and international flights, cancelled today as there is no power for the airports machines including screening machines to run.

Sources at JIA told Wangdunkon Media that they were told by some officials that there was a fuel shortage to the generators running the airport leading to the absent of power the whole morning and till afternoon.

“They said there is no fuel for the generators to operate. I couldn’t believe it. They also said their staffs who can do the manual screening for the domestics flights were not available at the Airports, many flight have been cancelled.

An official sources contacted by Wangdunkon Media refused to comment on the matter when asked why the power at the airport is not working.
