Govt delays opposition’s Advance Team arrival to Juba “for security reason”

Juba – The goverment of South Sudan has delayed the arrival of the SPLM (IO)’s Advance Team to Juba, citing that the government want to know who are those comprising the Advance Team. “We have seen the list but still we want their biography. We want to know what they have been doing, you know, who are they actually” ~ Ateny said

Th Presidential Press Secretary, Ateny Wek Ateny, said they “wants to know who are those coming in the advance team, whether they are military, civilians or whatever they are, you know, for security reason. They can’t just come without us knowing who they are”. Ateny concluded

The advance team, according to source within SPLM (IO) is ready on standby waiting for green light from IGAD-Plus for them to go to Juba.
