Barnaba Marial Benjamin: “South Sudan’s security situation had greatly improved in the past two years”

Juba – Reacting to the recently publish  advisory article listing South Sudan among the Countries considered insecure and not recommended for tourists, the South Sudan foreign affairs Minister, Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin, said the Country’s Security has greatly improved in the past two years.

“South Sudan’s security situation had greatly improved in the past two years” adding that “There is no curfew any more in Juba town to indicate the fragility of the situation”

However, according to some observers and analysts, Juba is the most dangerous place in the Country as “unknown gunmen” occupied the city with less crackdown operation been done against them by the goverment. Hotels have been broken into, houses robbed and people killed almost everyday in Juba including the town centers. But South Sudan goverment still believe that the “situation isn’t out of hand”

Though the Country has a huge potential in tourism, immediate or long term, the recent report by UK landed the Country hundreds of mile to get out of this ‘sh*t’ to be able to utilize its potential in the region and the whole. In a nutshel, the Country’s leaders needs to stop political cr**ness and push forward the Country.

below is the map of the no-go Countries for tourists listed by UK:
