Juba – The SPLM (Juba) party is set to hold an extraordinary meeting with its Political Bureu and National Liberation Council members called upon by the Chairman of the party President Salva Kirr Mayardit tomorrow 15th Oct, 2015 at J1.
The meeting will be chaired by President Kirr with attendance of the above mentioned members of the party to deliberate on issues that are yet to be disclosed.
Some inner close aids to the President who are also high ranking members of the SPLM party have disclosed to Wangdunkon Media that some of the points of discussion, which they expect, will be to:
- Discuss within among the party’s influential members who are members of parliaments on the way forward regarding the taking of the 28 states creation order to the parliament for approval. President Kirr want to be assured fully that the order will be approved by the parliament without embarrassment of having it rejected in the August House. The members will also have an opportunity to evaluate the order internally.
- Discuss on the issue of SPLM Secretary General Mr. Pagan Amum who have, again, left his duties in the party despite his recent reinstatement back as the party’s Secretary General.
- Discuss the peace agreement implementation process which was signed in August with the armed opposition. the members will try to evaluate if the parliamentarians, as proposed, should be sent out to enlighten people and let the budget released. The members are also expected to discuss their readiness in receiving their other members who defected to the rebel since and during the crises in the Country.
- Other issues are also expected to be raise by members of the party. They will raise their grievances, concerns and ideas on peace process and any other SPLM or goverment matter.
Wangdunkon Media have not yet get an official document verifying the above points as the exact agenda of the meeting tomorrow at J1.
Akol Paul Kordit was asked by Radio Miraya’s breakfast show program this morning regarding the agenda of the meeting but decline to comment saying “this is an extraordinary meeting” where the agenda are only known to the Chairman of party who called the meeting.
