A S. Sudanese outstanding lawyer, Dong Luak, robbed and shot on the leg in Nairobi

Nairobi – A South Sudanese lawyer Dong Luak Kok, popularly known as Dong Samuel Luak, was robbed at 2:00am last night at his residence in Nairobi by a group of gangs taking away his personal belongings leaving him with a shot on his right leg.

On his facebook timeline, Dong wrote this morning informing the public, family and friends of the incidence which occurred to him last night. “I sustained some bullets in my right leg. Injuries on my jaw, and elbow. Was rushed to Mater Hospital, stitched my jaw and elbow” ~ Dong explained.

He was immediately rushed to Mater Hospital after the incidence and was later discharged in the morning and is currently back at home.

Dong has always been living in a state of insecurity since he was a defense lawyer for Pagan Amum and other colleagues imprisoned during the onset of the fighting in 2013.

Dong was among the 17 lawyers defending the political prisoners who were later released exposing the lawyers to face the National Sceurity brutality.

Dong was threaten with death and had to leave the Country to safe his dear life.

It’s not clear whether this unexpected night attack is from some known enemies or happened out of his blue. Wangdunkon Media have tried to contact Dong but all was in vain.
