[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ddis-ababa – The SPLA/SPLM in Opposition has refuted reports circulated on social media that two top Geneneral have been removed by Riek Machar from their duties.
“The office of spokesperson would like to refute the false reports circulated on social media about the relieve of Chief of general staff Maj.General Simon Gatwech Dual from his position by the leadership of SPLM/A-IO. There is no such a move made by the leadership to remove chief of general staff as well as the governor of Adar state Maj.General Chayout Manyang Wur.
The office of the spoke person pointed out that “the leadership of SPLM/A is committed to the peace agreement and its implementation despite the government forces continuing to violate the ceasefire signed recently and target our bases in greater Equatoria as well as the civil population around Juba and Mundiri areas”
“We are calling on the IGAD and international community to stop Juba government from those harmful acts of shooting; looting and burning down of civilian houses and bring these perpetrators to book”
Pagan a tent city for all SPLM/SPLA IO members
In the seperate deveopment, the leadership of SPLM (IO) has called upons its members to come to stay in Pagak in preparation for the upcoming transitional goverment of National Unity
“The leadership also declared Pagak General Head quarters (GHQS) as a tent city for all the members of National liberation council to camp there and make all necessary arrangement for the upcoming transitional government” the office of the spokesperson continued
