The body of the Late WES Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. James Bage laid to rest in Yambio

[dropcap]Y[/dropcap]ambio – The body of the late Right Honorable James Bage was laid to rest yesterday at the assembly premises in Yambio town of Western Equatoria State.

The funeral rite was attended by thousands of citizens including the family of the late and number of state politicians.

The speaker was killed by unidentified armed men outskirt of Yambio in a small bridge called Uze.

His death has been linked to numerous of political differences with his former boss Bakosoro, the late was accused to have been working under smoke screen to remove the former Governor, whom he accused of manipulation of state affairs.

According to a senior govt official in the state who asks not be named for security reasons said, Bage had questioned the national govt to why all governors of Western Equatoria always come from one county.

“WES has been ruled by people from Tombura County, however, late Bage has been mobilizing local youths to cause some insecurity in the state that will portray the former governor of weaknesses over security matters in the state, he wants the local to kill Dinka community in the state” ~ narrated the late Speaker

Early this month Yambio had seen numerous of security threats between locals and the national army with dozen of civilians and SPLA soldiers lost their lives so far.

The situation remains tense since then with unlawful removal of an elected former governor and killing of state speaker leaving things to remains unpredictable.
