Juba– South Sudan chief of staff general Paul Malong Awan was sent to Uganda by Salva Kiir to meet President Museveni of Uganda for more military deals and support as fighting intensified in upper Nile state, Uganda govt has been helping salva Kiir govt since eruption of the conflict in the mid of December 2013, thousand of UPDF elements have deployed in the country and fought along with SPLA against the oposition forces led by former vice president Dr. Riek Machar.
UPDF used cluster bombs in Bor against opposition forces when they were advancing toward Juba in Earl days of the crisis.
Last year an agreement was signed between the govt in Juba and Uganda to extend the presence of UPDF in the country for another four month to stabilise the situation, Uganda vowed to remained in the country until Juba is fully secured and AU neutral forces deploy to safeguard the safety of salva Kiir govt.
