Juba– The commissioner of Juba county Micheal Wani has carried out an operation of closing down restaurants that are not meeting the required standard in term of hygiene and other public related precautions.
Cholera outbreak was announced last week by the national minister of health Dr. Riek Gai Kok, the disease has claimed 18 lives before it was officially bought into public notice, more than 171 confirmed cases were reported as well.
According to the report obtained by wangdunkon media, the cases of the Cholera are on the rise and many treatment centres are opened so far treat those infected at the suburb and Juba teaching hospital.
The officials in the ministry delayed to alert the public about the deadly disease, so that neccessary measures are put in place to curb the spread of the disease,
The minister said that he couldn’t announce the outbreak without informing the president,;he stressed last week that the first case was confirmed on the first of June last month but due to the tight schedule in the office of the president, he couldn’t meet the president to inform him about the disease.
