Govt refutes the report released by UNMISS on human right violations.


Juba– The SPLA spokesperson Philip Aguer Panyang refuted the report released by the UNMISS for  the atrocities committed by the govt forces and it’s militias during April offensive against SPLA-IO.

Philip said another investigation team that will include SPLA and other stakeholders has to be formed in order to carry out the investigation equally, the UNMISS report is partial and its not one hundred percent true  he says.

He accuses the UNMISS of conniving with the rebels to put all blames on govt

According to the report, gross human rights violations and  abuses have been committed by  the govt soldiers, systematic torturing  and sexual harassment,  hundred of women have been raped and burned  alive in unity state during major offensive unleashed by the govt against the opposition.
